Chocolate Chip Banana Bars are a wonderfully simple yet incredibly delicious recipe that makes excellent use of ripe bananas, and even more satisfying than traditional banana bread!

These bars are not only versatile but also perfect for a variety of occasions, making them an ideal choice for breakfast, a quick snack during lunch, or even as a delightful dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth after dinner.

The combination of soft, sweet bananas and rich, melty chocolate chips creates a harmonious blend of flavors and textures that is sure to please anyone who takes a bite. With their moist and tender crumb, these bars are easy to prepare and can be enjoyed fresh out of the oven or stored for later enjoyment.


INGREDIENTS

  • 5 very ripe bananas about 1 2/3 cup

  • ¾ cup brown sugar

  • ¼ cup oil any type- I use coconut

  • ¼ cup milk

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 ¾ cup flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips divided


TO MAKE

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 15×10.5" pan with non-stick spray and set aside. You can also divide the batter between an 8x8" pan AND standard loaf pan like I do.

  2. Peel bananas and mash well. Stir in brown sugar, oil, milk and eggs until combined. Add in dry ingredients and stir. Fold in 1/2 the chocolate chips.

  3. Spread the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle remaining chips on top.

  4. Bake 21-25 minutes, until a wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely and cut into squares. Enjoy!
